Hi, I’m Brandon and I’m a Junior Lettings Negotiator here at GHE. I have to admit that I am fairly new to the estate agency scene, but that hasn’t stopped me jumping headfirst into everything the industry has to offer.

I would define myself as someone who understands the needs of each person and situation in the property market. I believe that every client has distinct requirements and concerns, and it’s my job to listen and truly understand those. I like to think I am good at offering solutions that fit each individual’s circumstances, whether the process is straightforward or more complex. But let me just say, I am not afraid of the challenges that come with more complicated deals! I aim to make the property journey as smooth as possible for all my clients, offering guidance and reassurance every step of the way. Renting a property should be an exciting experience and I stand by that.

I am from Brixton, so I am very familiar with London which works out pretty great for this job. I’ve lived here all my life so I know a lot about the area. The thing I love most about Brixton is how it is a mini melting pot of all cultures and people, which makes the area lovely to live in.

Living in Brixton and seeing how everyone fit in together made me think of a career in an estate agency. Helping people find their dream property always jumped out at me and after seeing how easily a variety of cultures fit into one place, I knew I wanted to replicate that elsewhere for other people too. I had a short stint as a Lettings Negotiator before studying at university, however I couldn’t let it go and now I am back in the industry! Although, in my opinion, this is my real first start in the world of real estate.

As well as being an estate agent, I am also a football scout on the weekends. I studied Sports Performance and Coaching at University, so I am passionate about keeping my scouting job alongside GHE. I am a very chilled person and much prefer being in a relaxed state of mind which is something I am able to put in place when I am out on the field. I also like going to the gym, watching sports and playing video games – all things that help me disconnect from working life and be more present in my free time.

As much as I love working at GHE, it’s not without its twists and turns. Recently, I faced a situation that kept me on my toes. A client I was assisting seemed set on one of our properties, but after a viewing, they had second thoughts and began browsing other websites for options.

Determined not to let them slip away, I reviewed their search criteria the next day and spotted something I knew they’d love that they had overlooked online. I gave them a call, shared the recommendation, and their reaction was definitely worth the panic! We quickly arranged a viewing, and as soon as they stepped inside, they were sold. Some might say it’s a perfect match.

Moments like these remind me why I love what I do.

I feel what sums me up as an agent is that I’m willing to accommodate everyone in their pursuit to find the perfect property. I know how important it is for people to feel truly at home when they are choosing to take the leap and move into a house, and I am honoured that my role at GHE allows me to do this every day.
